Hi, I'm Nathan. I love everything.
Okay, not really everything. I hate hangnails, for instance.
But mostly everything.

But mostly everything.
In May of 2016 I graduated from Baylor University, where I studied in the Honors College as part of the Honors, BIC and Business Fellows programs. I was born and raised in Austin, Texas, where I graduated from a TINY private school in a class of four people. I love studying so many subjects, and have discovered student affairs as the passion for my life's work. I am always energetic, always adventurous, and the WORST person to rely on for directions and scheduling. People tell me that I'm a great person to talk to, but a terrible driver. I love God with my life because He saved and changed me.
And I love Baylor.
I love to try new things, meet new people, and explore new places.
If you love any of the following, then we should be friends:
If you love any of the following, then we should be friends:
- Line Camp. This forever changed my life, when I learned that I could make friends and truly love God with others in my new home. I've been a Line Camp Leader in 2013, 2014, and 2015, sharing the greatest moments that with my greatest friends.
- Hip-Hop Dance. My favorite genre to dance to is dubstep, but I will dance to anything, for goofy or "serious" reasons. As a naïve freshman with no experience in dance, I decided to give the Poppers, Lockers, and Breakers a shot. It was one of the best decisions I made.
- The Baylor Interdisciplinary Core (BIC). Filled with tough reads, great conversations, and the starts of many friendships, this was exactly what I looked for in my liberal arts background. The photos you see may or may not correspond to a Flash Mob I conducted my freshman year, or a Ryan Gosling Photo Shoot that spring.
- Producing Music. I have about 3,000 hours of experience in audio editing, so I love to help others record their music and publish it on the iTunes and Spotify markets! I've loved making music for my friends Megan, Matt, Emily, and others, but my favorite project was "That Good Old Baylor Line," a collection of 15 instrumental tracks based on the personalities of my closest friends.
- Poetry and Freestyle Rap. As a freshman I entered in the After Dark talent show, but had nothing prepared for the audition. I chose to improvise a serenade to the judge, and they decided to put me in the show! I love writing and sharing poetry, some of which is improvisational and some of which is form-based.
- College Football. End of story. Never a sports fan when I was young, now I can rattle off stats about our team and its players. My love of sports is vastly superseded by my hope that the disciplinary behavior of the Baylor Athletics Departments will receive an overhaul this year, but I still love watching this great sport.
- Baylor Basketball. I've always enjoyed the sport, but Scott Drew and Kim Mulkey take it to the next LEVEL. Watching the Elite Eight and Sweet Sixteen runs of the men and ogling over the women's 40-0 Championship, I've found my home.
- Dressing Up. I may be the lowest-maintenance guy you'll ever meet ("why can't we just use our leftover paper towels for our toilet paper?"), but I enjoy donning a tux and bow tie for any occasion. Above is the first-annual Mr. Green and Gold male pageant I competed in as a sophomore. It was some of the most fun I've ever had (and earned me the prize of emceeing the ladies' pageant (and directing and publishing their music video). Yep, you heard that right.
- Late, Deep, Hard Conversations. Pick any subject. Show me passion behind what you say. And we'll talk for as long as we please. It's in those waning hours of the night that we sometimes discover the most incredible things about ourselves. I'm a big fan of the late-night chat.
- The Whatever. This club is the culmination of everything above and more. I founded this student organization in January of 2015 with the intent of having amazing adventures where everyone is accepted, loved, and challenged to reach beyond themselves at Baylor. With the craziest adventures and a true family-vibe, we seek to change the way that colleges look at the student experience.
- Taking The Leap. Life is an incredible adventure, and sometimes you have to do the stupid, adventurous, or thoughtful thing to discover your greatest memories lying in wait. Like fighting a pack of wild zombies with nerf guns. Like going homeless for two days to discover your passion in ministry. Like hosting a fake art gala in the Baylor library with mustaches and miniature exhibits. Like scaling and jumping off the Waco Suspension Bridge (ok, maybe not that kind of leap).
During my time at Baylor, I did my best to see it all. To love everyone. And to help others experience the same. My hope is that from my stupid, adventurous spirit you may find some thoughts that can help you along your journey - specifically, the things you SHOULD do and the things you SHOULDN'T.
Though I have moved on to start work at Syracuse University and earn my Master's Degree, I am always up for a conversation with someone new. If you have questions, comments, or just want to hang out, then find me on Facebook or text me at 512-705-7989.
